ASU should...

Generate .ics (ICAL) subscriptions for class schedules

My.ASU.edu can generate a weekly calendar, but only for viewing or printing. I should be able to subscribe (or download) an .ics calendar subscription. This would allow us to view our classes in Google Calendar, Apple iCal, Outlook, and even on the iPhone.

This feature has been added to My ASU. Just go to your class schedule page. There will be an "iCal Download" link at the bottom. Enjoy!

I have heard people might be working on this at UTO and passed along this suggestion.

FYI, I work for another department at ASU and we recently uploaded the general university academic calendar as an .ical file here: http://students.asu.edu/academic-calendar. The specific intent of the instructions was to help ASU students add the calendar to their My ASU-hosted Google Calendar (related to a video tutorial available under My ASU>Guides & Tips).

But if you're savvy enough, you can just download the link for any of the platforms listed above.
